Happy Birthday Mom!
On March 26th, my mother turned the big SIX-OH! My sisters and I threw her a Ladies Luncheon to celebrate with her friends, family and co-workers. Then Dad and us siblings took her to dinner at Fleming's. We wanted to make the celebration(s) extra special for her since it's a milestone birthday. She deserves it and is worth it! I wanted to post a brief tribute to my mom in honor of her 60th birthday:
H-Hugs, there's nothing like a hug from Mom. There was a particular instance three years ago when I was having a terrible marital struggle. She drove to my house and laid next to me in my bed and just held me. Even though I was 34 years old and pregnant, she still treated me like I was her little girl when I needed it most.
A-Always there for me. Especially this last year.
P-Pride. My mom has always taken pride in what she has and does. She has a strong work ethic. She takes pride in doing a good job at work and at home. She always takes care to be sure that the house and yard look nice.
P-Permanent. My mom has always been there stable, perseverant and everlasting.
Y-You. I'm grateful that you are who you are. I wouldn't want you any other way!
B-Babysitter. She is always willing to babysit the grandkids. She is a very hands-on grandma and enjoys spending time with them.
I-Independent. My mom has always been independent. She would rather take care of a problem herself than ask for someone to do it for her. I get my self-reliance from her.
R-Remarkable. I think my mom is extraordinary!
T-Talented. My mom has many talents including sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting. She has a fantastic eye for home decorating. She is talented in the garden as well. Her yard is always something to envy.
H-Heart. My mom has a kind and generous heart. She is always helpful and willing to lend a hand.
D-Dependable. She is always there when we need her and when we don't think we need her. Always.
A-Ambitious. My mom is determined and industrious. She's always getting something done.
Y-You are loved more than you know!
